As always, we thank you for your participation and support of the Club and we work hard every day to make your Club experience more enjoyable and rewarding. We trust this translates into the feeling that being a member of Grasslands Golf and Country Club means you belong to the finest private country club in Central Florida.
Our “season” is in full swing and we are seeing lots of activity around the Club with tournament play. We hope you are enjoying your winter club experience.
Our Main Dining Room continues to delight our members for Friday Night Fine Dining as a result of Chef Steve Beltz’s variety of menu selections and new, creative offerings. Friday’s are always special with the ambiance and service provided by our staff. Your patronage is much appreciated.
If there is anything we can do to make your evening more special, please let Pam Smiley know. We will do everything possible to make a birthday, anniversary or just getting together with friends more enjoyable and memorable.
Our Club Manager, Steve Knott, J.T. Hauk, our Head Golf Professional and the Golf Staff strive to deliver great service and member satisfaction with all of our golf events. This year is no exception and I am confident that it will continue with a strong commitment for perfection. Enjoy your tournament competition and the quality of the course through the great effort of Adam Ellison and his staff.
Greetings members! Spring has arrived… Well the Tabebuia (Trumpet) trees throughout the property sure think so. Their yellow blooms are quite pleasant this time of year as we welcome the warmer temperatures and longer days. It shouldn’t be long and hopefully we will see some increased growth from our newly planted wildflower area, located left on Holes #15 and #16. The flower blooms will most definitely attract butterflies, many species of birds and critters of all sorts. We are excited to see the habitat take shape!
The Men’s Member-Guest will be played March 7-9 and the course will be closed during this event. The GWGA Member-Guest is March 13-14 and the course will be closed for a portion of each day. If you would like a starting time on either of these days, please contact the Golf Shop. April is Club Championship month with the Ladies playing April 5-6 and the Men’s & Senior’s being played April 12-13. The season will come to a close with our Annual Club Champions Dinner on April 26. If you are a Champion for this season, please mark your calendar and you will receive your invitation soon. The Men’s Tuesday Night Game will “Kickoff” March 11 at 5:30. For those of you who are not familiar, this is a nine hole game played at 5:30 each Tuesday during daylight savings. This is a great way to meet your fellow members and enjoy an evening on the course. If you would like to play, please contact the Golf Shop prior to 5:00pm on Tuesday.
The Golf Shop continues to receive new apparel and equipment weekly. If you haven’t had a chance, I encourage you to come see the new lines from Footjoy, Levelwear, Greg Norman, Travis Mathew and Cutter & Buck. In addition, we also have the product launch from Taylormade, Nike and Ping, which we feel is the strongest new golf equipment product launch in recent years.
When it was time to retire, we decided to stay in Grasslands. Our community offers a wonderful golf course, friendly neighbors and the convenience of an in town location with a country club feel. We love where we live.
We’ve lived here since 1992, and for us there is no other place to live. Grasslands offers beautifully maintained grounds with sidewalks for walking and visiting with your friends and neighbors. In addition, you feel a level of comfort knowing that there is a security guard on duty 24-hours a day. The central location gives us easy access to Polk Parkway, plus we’re next door to Lakeside Village for great shopping and restaurants. And we have one of the best golf courses in Central Florida. Come and join us and discover for yourself how great it is to live in Grasslands!
